I just did my DC2 center console conversion and I'm very please with how it looks, let alone having cup holders!

Now every site I've read it brings up the fourthgenhatch . com site and he did his but his didn't work. I have GPS that I use daily, and is needed for my job so that's what charges my GPS.

Can anyone tell me which wires to hook up the right way?

 

Grab a Multimeter, and re-pin the connector, my brother did it for me took him like 2 seconds.

 

I honestly don't know how to de-pin/re-pin connectors. I'm sure it's not hard just don't know how.

 

i just removed the 4 pin connector and sub harness on my center console, and just re used my two pin connector. i don't have any lights for the cig. lighter or ash tray light but eh w/e

 

What wires did you use to put back in your stock connector? I don't have any working lights on my cluster whether it's climate control or my cig lighter or ash tray. Don't really care about the last two but the climate control bugs the **** out of me.

 

i didn't cut any wires, i unplugged the black wire and the white with a blue stripe wire from the ciggy lighter, then detached the two prong plug from the ashtray bracket, then re attached it to the teggy center console after un plugging everything and removing the teggy stuff.

as far as non working lights, the climate control lights like to burn out, i'd check the dimmer switch to see if it's bad, and check fuses too.

 

Dimmer switch is good, it will turn the brightness up and down on my gauge cluster no problem. I'll replace the lights tomorrow and see what happens. I'm not sure what bulb size they are lol.

I'll see if that wire stuff for the cig lighter works in the mornin. Got school in 9 hours lol.

 

I used a DC2 center console in my 91 Si hatch, it was plug and play. Charged all kinds of stuff in there all the time.

The plugs don't match up for you?? weird.

 

Same here, cept mine was a base model and not an Si.
