Default civic core support

there are five screws that hold a 92 civic bumper to the core support. i had a hard time removing those screws from my car so i had to drill them out. anyone have any ideas for a good way to secure the bumper back to the core support? the metal is thin, so i'm assuming drilling out a bigger hole and tapping it would not work. any ideas?

Should of used a vice grip man.

Drill a hole big enough to accept the plastic bumper clips that are used on the EJ chassis

Drill large holes for clips, weld nuts onto the backside, use a nut & bolt and just tighten with 2 tools.

drill the holes out enough to put a 10 mm nut. Use the kind of nut that is on the Alt power wire. Thats the kind that has the washer or lip built on. Flip the nut up side down, where the bigger flat part is on top. Now tack them in from the bottom side. I have mounted battery trays, and intercoolers this way without anyproblem. Plus its a flush fit. If there isnt enough room on the bottom, tack them on top then grind them down flush then paint. Its really easy
