so i finished my first lsvtec 2 days ago. so yesterday i drove my 50 mile trip to work and when i got there there was oil everywhere. when i cam home today i inspected it while running and i found out it was the intake cam seal. so i had to take the whole timing assembly apart. i pulled off the cam gears, removed the timing belt side cam caps and took off the seals. i tried sealing up the outside with some high temp rtv. well, that dident work. i would out out right replaced them but no one locally had them and i need the car for work tomarrow. just wondering if this is a common problem.
make sure it is at least grey romm temp vulcanize or hondabond and let it dry about 15-30min before adding oil and starting it. but it not common really

i used red high temp rtv. i let it sit for an hour. 3 days later seems to be holding prtetty good. i also used on my water pump works great.
its usually the issue when you dont replace them in the first place...just keep an eye on your oil level until you get a new one for it

yeah, they stoped leaking. i cleaned the motor again with some brake cleaner and no oil has leaked so it looks like the rtv is holding up
