Default First Time brake change

Can someone please p/m me a link or just reply in this thread for a writeup to changing both my rotors and pads in the front. Ive never done a change before and am definately incline so it shouldnt be a problem. Im also bringing the car in to check if the rear drums need to be changed. Either way Im definately changing the pads back there as well. So if I could be shown how to change the rear drum pads as well I would really appreciate it!!!

Default Re: First Time brake change

Front is pretty easy. Just unbolt the lower bolt on the caliper and you will have access to the pads. When you put in new front pads you will need something to compress the piston caliper in so the new pads will fit in the caliper.

To remove the rotor u have to remove two bolts that are around the caliper in the back and then just unscrew the two screws on the rotor it should pop off easily. If not screw two bolts into the rotor and pop it off(not the same holes as the screws some other holes.

When your done with everything make sure to pump your brakes before you drive your car(due to compressing the piston).

here is some links to how to do your rear drums. make sure u do one side at a time so u will have a reference of how things go back together. After you install ur drums make sure it drags when the e brake is up 1 clik but not when it is not down by adjusting your ebrake cable in the car and adjusting the star mechanism on the brakes.
