i haven't checked yet. oil level is good but the owner before me put 10-30.not sure if that could cause vtec not to engage.it did engage after 2 days it just stopped.
its not a bad day, how much did you pick the car up for? Did the guy you bought it from tell you about any issues with the car? I guess it is time for a rebuild! bring it back to life, why don't you post some pictures of it?

i paid $1,000 for it. the girl paid 4500 in repairs three years ago,i have the papers. when i was buying it the battery was dead and it didn;t want to start.but we put a new batter n it ran perfect from miami to st.pete, but when you put it in contact the oil light wasn't there so im guessing i had a bad oil pump and low oil pressure that caused the vtec to not work and now my engine to knock.rebuild is going to be done soon i hope.
here are some pics.its complete stock.interior is mint.outside needs paint.n has a few lil dents.

i had an aztec one too.for 1300$. this is my third old school gsr.and i always have problems with them.. on my blue one..the dizzy went out 4 times.
I got it from a former marine 2 years ago the paint was fading away, leaking oil ( replace headgasket), needed a new battery, needed new alternator, needed new distributor, needed new main relay, and starter when out.
All easy fix but i got a for $1,000 with 119k miles so i was happy.

u got urself a kick *** deal, 1000 for a 93 gsr. Those are rare, I've owned 3 already. Bought it from people who didn't know what they had and didn't take care of them. Restored 'em and sold 'em. Those are the best cars to own, miss my DA's.

took everything apart to replace all bearings and get the crank micro-polished. all i have to do now is get the clutch and flywheel off and main caps and get the crank out. hopefully i will have it back on the road soon.

I had a milano red one as well.. my favorite gen its near impossible to find a db2 chassis in the midwest thats clean most of them have the typical honda cancer stage 3 over here by now.
That tranny is my all time favorite. take care of it good luck with the rebuild
