Brake Master Cylinder Brace, how much force?

Hi,
Just installed my master cylinder brace and was wondering how tight did you thread the screw pushing on the master cylinder? I assume you want to apply some force to get zero deflection.
What are the negative side effects of stabalizing your brake master cylinder?
Thanks!

Tommy, where did you get yours and how much?
Can you possibly post pictures? I am interested in doing the same but wondering if it is a good idea (i.e. any negatives to using one).

Make the brace snug against the master cylinder.
The main thing is that the brace is not putting any force on the master cylinder at rest.
The brace is not being aggressive and using force to hold the master cylinder in place, but rather the brace should be passive and simply restrain the force of the master cylinder.

I have only experienced good effects.
I just did a 2 day track event with the MC brace in. The brakes maintained their firmness the whole time - with none of that after-event mushiness I used to have.

I'm still waiting on the GS-R brace from LHT that was supposed to be done a few weeks ago...

I just tightened mine until it moved towards the firewall a bit , ie 1/16 of an inch.
This can damage the master cylinder.

One does not want force exerted on the master cylinder while at rest.
