I got a 06 rsx type s and last week i just got a head unit installed (pioneer mp3 player). I purchased the dash kit and wiring harness combo from ebay, and i went to best buy to get it installed. After everything was done when i started to drive and i noticed when shifting gears i hear a whistling noise when i drive. I think the noise goes away when i turn off the radio or when i turn off the a/c. I know the sound wasn't there before the radio install. Does anyone know what it could be? Is the radio draining my battery or something like that?

 

First mistake was having Best Buy install it. Sounds like a ground issue.

 

ground loop noise. maybe a power cable it close by ur speaker cables. or the wire insulation is cheap cuz u got it from ebay.

 

i dont know how well you are with wiring.. but another way of getting rid of that noise is if you bypass your stock BOSE amp located under your seat

 

Should i buy a new wiring harness?...im not good with wiring at all.
