MT ET street VS M&H racemaster street&strip

so im looking or opinions on which tire is better for traction.....and i mean for every kind of use.....street and track.
Im looking at the actual MT ET STREET(NOT THE ET STREET RADIAL)in a
275/50R15(26X11.50R15)

(These tires will be going on a DC2 teg on a 15x9 wheel and extended studs with spacers and what not)
So what do you all think would work best? And do you think the 235's would work better than the 275's i am looking at?

Interested in how you plan to drive a Honda on the street with 275/50/15's safely and actually be able to turn, I dont think spacers are going to cut it
In for how they do it and still be able to make a turn like a street car should, I know 26x10's are hard to fit so I would imagine 26x11.5's would be harder.

Well im looking for opinions in either street or strip, but if and when i would use these on the street, its not like i would plan on driving around town for fun with these big as tires on...obviously they would only be used when something is set up for a run.....but like i said im looking or street/strip opinions.

A good customer of mine with a EK hatch rolls around on the 275-50-15 nitto 555R drag radials. Stock front end with drag 15x7 wheels and everything fit. Going from the 235-60-15 M&H to the 275-50-15 was night and day difference for him. The 275s just plain hooked in 3rd and 4th whereas the 235-60-15 M&Hs would get blown off. He makes mid 600 whp with his and he loves them. Even kept power steering just so it's easier for him to drive on the streets.
I've even had the 26x10.50x15 MT ET streets on my EG hatch and it fit. It can be done.
Difference wise, you can probably get a MT a little cheaper than the M&H. I haven't had a side by side same size comparison so I don't know which would be better. I think it'd come out very similar.

Those drag wheels on the back is what he mounted his 275s on. He obviously had his 13" lensos on the front for the event.
im just running the mickey thompson 225/50-15s on some fat five wheels. i make around 460ish and cut 1.9 60fts and ive been 11.50 on them. i do have boost by gear and launch control tho.
I think you are taking offence to something that you shouldnt be, all I suggested is I didnt know you could fit a tire safely that is 4.5" wider than the wheel, in for pics of said wheel tire combo........
street is great. i run 27psi for normal driving and at the track i seem to have my best luck with them around 14psi. but on the 27psi on the street they feel like normal old radial tires.
I have mounted a couple of mt et street 10.50 on aluminium wheels and those tires are heavy as hell comared to the et drag.. I can see how those tires would break alot of drivelines on hondas.

Stock ride height? No, he has full bodied coilovers. I don't think I ever said stock height. I said stock body panels.
And what spacers? I am not sure on that one either. Maybe no spacer. I got another guy from another shop that mounted the same setup. I asked him to snap a picture and post it up if he has time.

I use the the 235/60/15's on all 4 corners of my dsm, I have them on a 6.5" wheel. Similar size to the 275/50/15 just 2" less on the width.. same height.
Its a OK tire for me, When track prep is GOOD and track is hot, Car hooks well.. When its cold, I blast all 4 out of the hole.. If i played with my 2 step and how much power I left with it would be OK cold.. but its set up to go fast when track prep is good.. which is when it counts.
I don't know why you guys mess around with these ET streets and what not. I would honestly go with the Hoosier QTP's still a street legal tire, and a hell of a lot better.. They will be on my car next season.
On the 26x10.50x15. I never launched it on the street. I did a pull on the highway with it and it did better than the 235 M&H but it still was roasting the tires, but that was when the car got the 800+ hp setup. So no real side by side comparison on the same setup for me.
The Hoosier QTP's are 10lbs+ lighter per tire over the MT et streets
I think a lot of guys still use MT because they have so many "local" sources that can get it, whereas the hoosiers are all ordered through hoosier or jegs/summit.

7.5-9.5 is whats recommended.. Im sure you could squeeze it on a 7 though.
