im new to the site, been browsing HT for a while, so i started an account to post progress on a road car im starting. Im starting with a wrecked 88 crx si. Im not sure if anyone has heard of the mid engine ford festiva known as the SHOGUN, built by Beck Development in the 90's and made somewhat famous by Jay Leno. http://www.jaylenosgarage.com/cars/89Shogun_shell.shtml Anyways i grew up around road racing and fabricating porsche tube frame race cars. I picked up a crx shell for $150, and today i am picking up a k20, dont know much about the engine yet as i havent seen or heard much. i will pop some pics when im at the shop dropping off parts. The plan is to cut the front end off at the firewall, remove intire floor and rear inner fender wells. I will be building the chassis from 1.5" dom. shooting for under 1300lbs full of fuel. stay tuned for more info. im in a rush this morning and wanted to have a thread started when i got home to post pics. i have not done a thing to the car yet except for strippin her down. i will follow the entire build step by step. please no nay sayers. thank you.

the chassis is designed and built at Bells Fab & Race in Rancho Cucamonga,ca. i am working on a write up for the thread i should have it up in a couple hours. stay tuned

Could you explain maibe even take some pics of the shift linkage, how do you get it to go the other direction, and the action still work correctly with the motor being behind the shifter, thought about doing this for years. Havnt been able to figure it out in my head. Thanks
