I am looking for everyone's honest opinion on Benen. Bascially i am looking to hear from people who have actually purchased and used Benen's carbon fiber hood/rear duckbill/front lip.....I dont' want to hear why they are awesome b/c of this and that and you not actually have first hand experience with any of the products....Are there parts really worth the money, or should i look elsewhere...basically i am looking for the best or damn near the best, so where should i go? straight to spoon? or is the benen stuff decent enough? thanks for any input that anyone can give

hehe.. in before the lock... and benen stuff is good but you wont get any of their parts for 6 months hehe.. my wing is good.. it's a benen wing.. looks and fits awesome..

So you have compared a Benen hood and a Spoon hood? Side by side? I'll throw you the BS card... Some of my friends had Spoon hoods and quickly switched to Benen. The quality of the Spoon weave wasn't consistant(Spoon could care less... its a light weight race product)

 

don't listen to these wannabe spoon junkies. the benen carbon is far superior. i have had the spoon peices and they aren't that good. BUT THEY ARE FUNCTIONAL. benen made their's look nice also

how bout people don't dis something because it isn't spoon? could we all try that? i love spoon stuff, but if someone makes it better why not get that instead???

hahahahah spoon stuff 1 of my boys has the spoon lip hood and duck bill and they are not worth the money fitment on the duck bill is shitty and they lip is made hella weak. the hood is alright but dose noot look like it whould hold up in a 5 mph fender bender. but benen=

Arospeed Carbon Fiber parts are very nice and very affordable and made in the USA..

I like VIS. Hoods are a little on the heavy side but the weave is perfect (Rolled edges too). I was gonna buy a Benen Lip and wing but now that VIS is making both of those I'll try them out and give my review in a couple of weeks.

really? i didn't think arospeed knocked-off anything in the usa. do they make them themselves or do they outsource them? (i still think they're made overseas though)

 

AROSPEED Carbon Fiber hoods suck (I've seen it in person). Their Carbon fiber wings don't fit right.

My friend ordered a Fiber Images c/f hood for his h/b. Should be here this week and I'll let you know what I think.

I've read that you can't go wrong with Benen, Fiber Images, or VIS. Like I said, I've read but I'll give you first hand experience on FI next week
