Default Prelude 96 vtec high theft target?

i was wondering if i should get an alarm for my Prelude 96 vtec. i think i've been lucky all these years but now with the recession and everything maybe i should be a bit more cautious. only problem is i hate alarms, they're annoying and sometimes problematic.

install a hidden fuel pump kill switch and yes, get an alarm. two-way pager prefered.

if you have a stock Prelude, why wuold it attract attention ? Just debadge your trunk of the VTEC emblem and you should be alright. On the other hand, if you have a lowered 'lude with some nice wheels then you might be a target. All depends of how much is invested into it. I would not even worry about it with a 100-percent Stock car.

To add, when I had my Civic, nobody messed with it until after the accident when it was sporting a new hood/bumper/fender/headlight/hood. After that it lasted >6mo.

oh i hear you, my 93 civic sedan had a "custom" flat black paint job, that we did with spray cans and rusty spray pained wheels off of a crv. we lived in a pretty crappy neighborhood and no one even looked twice at it. no alarm, manual locks.
