Methanol/water and air/fuel readings....
I have been widebanding my car for the past few days getting it tuned street style to run pretty decent. I am running the aquamist water/alcohol injection kit on my car, and was pondering the false readings that it might be giving me due to the water/alcohol being burned and passing by the wideband oxygen sensor. I dont know if anyone has dealt with this situation before, or knows the answer but i would sure like to know before i keep pouring more hours of tuning in and get false/unsafe readings from my wideband meter. BTW, for those of you that know me know i run Haltech and the problems that is has given me. I have finally gotten the car to run on multipoint injection, to idle and to have a pretty decent priming map. All is well with the car finally, no more electronic gremlins playing inside of the Haltech ems box.
I'll try to remember to check my dyno files in the morning.. I have 2 consecutive runs with AF on a B16A that was equipped with an aquamist system.. The only change between the runs was disconnecting the pump. I'll let you know what I find.
