transmission question

is the 03-05 transmission better than the 01 tranny? just curious because a friend had told me this.

Hi there, I am a transmission rebuilder and I have done a lot of Honda transmissions and there are differences but not to say one year is better than another I don't see it .

as for the years..they are probly the same

but the ex has better gear ratios than the dx, lx

The 03-05's can take more of a beating from what i've heard.

i have an 03 EX with an automatic transmission and when it shifts gears it kicks really hard. Does anyone know why its doing that?

I've got an '01 manual and the main shaft bearing is on its way out. After some research, it's been a somewhat common problem. Not sure if it has changed for the 03's
