I currently have '91 Civic Si Hatchback. I have 17" white Moteegi MR7 rims. According to the specs, they are 17 in. x 7 in., 4 x 100mm/4.5 in. Bolt Circle, 5.5 in. I am looking at getting 16s instead but wanted to keep the same style. The 16" specs are 16 in. x 7 in., 5 x 100mm/4.5 in. Bolt Circle, 5.625 in. Is that going to be a problem?

Also, they have discontinued the white MR7s and am having trouble finding a set of 16" white MR7s. Someone mentioned that I could get the Silver ones and have the powder coated to make them white. Is that the best option?

If not, what are some options for white, 16", between 6-9 spoke rims?

 

first problem is 4x100/5x100. that is # of lugs/distance apart. 5 lug wheels won't fit 4 lug hubs.

If you can afford the powdercoat it would be great, but if not they can be painted, just make sure you prep them right.

 

Ok. So I will definitely have to get the 4x100 then. How much does powdercoating cost? I'm worried that if I get them painted, the paint will start to chip. Is there a problem with that?

 

use automotive base/clear staged paint, shoot it out of a real gun and you'll get a factory new finish. don't spray paint them
