need help deciding on a chassis. 90 or 96 civic hatch
Well, i have both of these cars...
the 90 is mint, its been in the family for years. it is my current "fun" car. it houses my setup atm, with a traction bar, and solid steel mounts... but its still very possible to return this car to "stock"
i just ran into a 96 civic hatch (ex delivery car). right now its 100% stock and a little beat up.
the 96 is a bit heavier, but the front LCA design IMO is much better. also there is a **** LOAD more space in the ebay for some things i want to try next year, IE top mount, maybe a side exit exhaust
i am having a tough time deciding which chassis i should go with. i love my 90 and im having a hard time deciding to cage it or not
what would you do?

i fought with this as well with my ef, you can fit bigger setups, topmounts etc... they are just more work and you have to get things custom made, where as i'm sure you know with the ek everything is readily available.
if i was starting from scratch i'd go with the ek, i decided to stick with my ef, just because you dont see a ton of them built for the track its mostly eg's or ek's.

I agree w/ everyone above...its funny that even the 88-91 owners would opt for the 96 Chassis if it had to be done all over again. I love the 88-91 body, they are just the most difficult to build as far as space/bay layout. The 96-00 is just easier, more spacious.
Convert the hb to dd, build the EK

ya... it was cool at first... then i realized after many hours of labor that a 4inch exhaust and ED's dont like eachother. hah
