if you want comfort and style? leave it be.
if you're willing to get it done professionally, you'll be spending around $400, the least (vinyl interior). if you want those "fancy" painted interior, it'll run you around that price and higher.
my 02 cents, if you want comfort and style, leave it be, and get some sol seats in the front. i just bought mine, and got them fit in my ek, in less than 1 hr. all you have to do is interchange rails(just be careful with the seat latches and springs, or they'll jump at you)

Sikkens interior paint. It is available in most brands at auto paint stores and can be mixed to match any color at all. It is a two part paint and is super easy to use. You can also choose the gloss level so you don't have a dash that reflects into your windshield.
I have seen a ton of people who use spray paint or the VHT interior paints and they all end up looking cheap.
You could probably get enough professional quality paint to do your whole interior for under $150. I would also recommend getting a professional quality degreaser and using that to clean everything. It is only about $20 a gallon.
If you have ever, ever used armor all or anything like that on your plastic pieces you need to clean it more than you could ever imagine. After it is clean, then use a red scotch brite pad and very lightly scuff the surfaces. You don't want to dig into them and leave marks, just enough to make it look dull, then clean it again a few times.

Another choice if you want to change to black is to just get OEM interior parts that are black. That's what i did, and i think it looks much better then painted pieces. I was able to get most of what i needed at the junkyard too so it was not that expensive.
Yeah i agree, don't paint your interior, or if you're gonna do it, do it the right way.
When i got my car when i was 16 i had the ricer itch, and got 17" white ADR rims, white
emblems, and painted the vents, door handles, and center console bright rice white. well my emblems got stolen, rims are heavy bling bling, and i got sick of the white paint peeling inside, so i painted it gloss black and it looks a lot better. but still i'd give anything to have the factory finish. sorry for the life story, but if it saves just one person- all this typing was worth it!

luckily i found one around partstrader for $200. this site is the shiznik. i've had all my used parts and accessories purchased through private sellers. found an siR lip for $70(great condition, used for 2 months) i also found my RS*R race springs for $150(used for a year) couldn't be much happier through that site. good luck
