Default modding a b16a2

I have just a few quetions about adding some things to my motor.

I don't know wether or not to go with a p28 or p30 ecu.

I don't know wether or not to go with a power chamber intake or a cai.

And i don't know which headers i should buy, so some opinions would be nice.

I have questions about the ECU too.

you might be doing the same things as i am.

I'm going with an Injen CAI. Apexi ws2 exhaust

For headers I'm not sure about which brand to get but I will get them for sure.

Does anyone know what would be the best one to get with this set up?

if uwant to make big power out of your motors, u might want to also look beyondintake, headers and exhaust.

-If u plan on chipping and tuning the ECU, either is fine. (whicher is cheaper)
-it depends on where u live, cold air intake gives a chance of sucking water into the engine due to its location. but if u live in a rather dry area, its better i think lol
-and i've heard and seen bad things about DC headers (notorious for cracking)

There are 4-1 and 4-2-1 (Tri-y style) headers. They have different effects on the power band. Research, research, research! This information is very easy to find.

Is the slight power gain worth the extra money for the power chamber one to you? You could make an intake from PVC pipe, exhaust pipe, Pringles cans and Duck Tape, whatever. Aluminum is kinda dumb to use for the intake because it's such a good heat conductor (why they use it for heatsinks and radiators).

i know i want 4-1 headers, and i hear cai's produce 1-2 hp more, i don't really have an issue of hydrolock, but they have an issue of throttle response lag because of how long the piping is. although power chambers have a finer tune, and a aem v2 cai costs just about the same as a power chamber, so i'd like some real information based on experience within the two.

There's not really an issue of hydrolock in southern california, but I'm looking for some definite answers on the intake subject, and yea... I've been told otherwise on dc headers.

I would go with a full CAI, thats what I did and a lot of people agreed with me. you can get a cheap ebay one and replace the filter with a K&N (or any good filter) for a cheap price.

Yeah I've heard don't waste your money on DC headers from a lot of people.....

Only a few say they are nice. Personally I'm going to wait and make sure they are good and worth every dollar.

I haven't heard a single bad thing about Skunk2 headers but they cost around 800$, gotta pay to play though.

Just get a nice intake... keep exhaust stock... power gains are minimal from exhaust, there are better things to spend your money on.

how much hp do you really think your going to gain from CAI and Headers?? but if that is what you want i suggest you go with AEM CAI and Skunk2 Headers, DC Headers are also good but they do tend to get the odd bad review have NEVER heard anything bad with the skunk2 headers and i can use to run skunk2 headers before i went turbo and i have nothing but good things to say about them!

I've decided not to **** with the ecu or internals. Just going to get a aem v2 cai, skunk2 b-series headers, and a spoon n1 exhaust system. I might get bigger injectors as well, it'll affect my gas mileage but still.... I'm not trying to be the fastest out there, just my little daily driver.
