1998 Honda Civic radio arness
I purchased a used 1998 Civic for my son and the CD player near the cup holder won't play. I removed the radio to disconnect the CD cable so that I could clean the eye and noticed two harnesses and an antenna cable. I will probably replace the radio and I need help with a question. Each time I see a wiring harness to convert to new radio it always has one connector. I am looking at a gray cable for the CD, a black antenna and two white connectors. What is the smaller connector for, or will the aftermarket harness for my particular vehicle have two connectors? Thanks
If you can post pics of the back of the stereo and the connectors that would probably help. I'm not real familiar with the civic, but I theorize that if you have a radio and then a cd player separate one plug is for the radio and one is for the cd player. If you have one unit, then it could be for an oem cd changer or maybe the plug is just split into two.
in 1996-98 the civic keyless entry was built into the radio.can't remember for sure but it may be the keyless harness. if you put aftermarket radio in you need to keep the oem radio in the car also
