Default SRS is on

95 Accord EX 5-Speed
OBD-1

Checked fuse and it was blown. replaced 10 amp fuse.

I connected the SCS Service connector to the plug behind the glove box and the SRS light had 5 long blinks, then 2 quick ones which I am interpreting as code 52. I have looked on a list of codes and it skips over code 52. I have also tried MuffinMan's fix to reset the code but the light still appears, which let's me know something could be faulty:

3) Hold the two ends of your wire together, so that they are now connected.

4) Keeping the wires connected, turn the ignition on (Do NOT start your car).

5) The SRS light comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off. Quickly disconnect the two wires.

6) The SRS light will come on again. Quickly reconnect your wires.

7) The SRS light goes off. Disconnect your wire connection and leave the wires disconnected.

8) If you did this correctly, the SRS will blink twice.

9) Turn the ignition off and wait 10 seconds.

10) Turn the ignition on, thus starting your car, and hopefully the SRS light will now be off.

11) Turn your car off, assuming the above instructions worked and your SRS light is now off.

Also, it rained really hard and I had to hit a couple of puddles the day the light came on.

Horn is functional

Checked fuse and it is not blown again.

Any suggestions on that code?

Default Re: SRS is on

I have the exact same code on my 95 EX (5-2). I read on another post that all 5 series codes are a failure within the module itself. Have bought two used ones on ebay which ended up being bad so I am saving up for a new one. (approx 235$ from Honda)
