Default Tranny Fluids and Oil

Is it safe to use Motor oil briefly in your tranny? and what grade?

you can use it...basically the same as tranny fluid, without the additives.

i wouldnt suggest trying it. but yes, it will work. and i would go with a thicker grade of w30. maybe 5w30 or 0w30.

Thanks!..btw, if i am having tranny problems because i am low on fluid. could i quickly replace it with 5w-30 and it would drive better?
