Default valve adjustment on b series motors??

can sum1 tell me how to do a valve adjustment?? cuz my understanding is that you start at tdc with the #1 piston, rotate the crank 180 degrees then go 2 the #3 piston, then again 180 degrees go 2 the #4 piston, then another 180 degrees and go to the #2 piston, and after that go back in the same order to recheck 2 make sure none are loose?
does this sound right??
but ive also heard u can do that order n only turn the crank 90 degrees?

The cam gear will only turn 90 degrees, but the crank pulley will turn 180. I explained the process in another thread just a few days ago. Here: https://honda-tech.com/forums/engine-management-tuning-124/need-help-valve-adjustment-2643128/

TDC is just the position of the piston. Each cylinder's piston needs to be at TDC while you adjust that cylinders valves. Reason being that this is the position where both intake and exhaust valves will be fully closed.

if you do not have vtec there are holes on top of the cam holders closest to the cam gears. they line up with holes in the cam shafts. you can stick a screw driver in each one and it will lock your cams at piston 1 TDC.

You can also see that the cams will be off the rockers at TDC. That's the real reason for setting each cylinder at TDC. So if you can't figure out which one is at TDC for any given cam position, just look at the lobes and figure out which ones are off of the rockers.
