Default 91 crx sohc zc (driverside axle seems short why?)

I bought 91 crx hf, it came with sohc zc stamped under with 6111065 and the tranny is stamped with L32523787 I think it's an si because those are th axles I'm using. I swapped out my whole suspension off my 88 crx si and put it on the 91 so it can be ready for a b-series swap in the future. The driver side axle seem like its an inch to half inch short because when I turn the wheel the cv boot gets's all wrinkled up. I removed the lock strap on the cv boot to move the cv boot and the cv boot wasn't all stretched out anymore. I locked the boot with a zip tie but then I turned the steering wheel and then the shaft popped out of the outer joint. Do I need a different axle? the only part I didn't change was the rear crossmember where the rack n pinnion goes.

Why would you swap out the suspension from the si? Seems like alot of unnecessary shuffling around

original suspension was an hf and the suspension off the 88 is an si I also have skunk2 coilovers, tokico blues, and energy suspension bushing all around. My 88 would hit 150 mph with a b16 turbo and would ride smooth. I swapped the suspension to have it ready for a b series swap in the future.

ok that makes a little more sense but you know that si dx hf and stds all have the same suspension stock. so you could have just switched the struts and springs. oh sorry didn't read about the bushings (and i would assume balljoints?) works for me and about your op if the transmission is off an si then a dx or si axel should work just fine.

....

I think what he means is that the HF crx has a small type axle hole in the knuckle. He went with Si suspension (hence Knuckles) so he can Run the 89-93 integra DA axle for his Bseries swap.

As far as the short axle. I think maybe your knuckle maybe sitting farter out now. Have you tried 91 Si knuckles?

I don't have 91 si spindles but does anybody know if the spindles are the same from and 88 si. I know the hub is the same. If the spindels were different wouln't I have a problem with the driverside as well.
