Default M2A4 w/SH Block Compatability?

Hey everyone,

Just as the title says, I'm looking into one of these trannys and just want to make sure that it's compatible with a '97 SH block. Thanks for your help guys.

Your options are only those with ATTS.

Yes you can. User PirateMcfred makes an adapter plate to make it possible. This is pretty much what you'll be doing:

So I have discovered through reading various how-to's that using this tranny is possible with a Type SH block. I also understand that an adapter plate is required as well, thanks Vin.

Now my next question involves using an M2A4 with an installed Quaife. Do I still use the base model half shaft or is a different one required because of the being LSD? I'm not very knowledgeable on LSD's so this is a whole new twist. I've attached a pic of the M2A4 I've been talking about for reference.

Thanks for your help guys.

I haven't made a batch of these for a while now. I'm sold out and don't really think I'll be making any more unless I can get a group buy of 10 or so of them.

It took me 3 years to sell the last ten. It takes a while to recoup the cost. Sorry.

Vig, that guy's method is excessive. He gets an A for stout engineering though.

If you fab an adapter plate or weld on the block to make it accept the base shaft then it really doesn't matter. If you use a Base Block then you use the Base Intermediate shaft.

This is excellent news, thank you very much pirate for your input. I'll be sure to let you all know how this all works out. Thanks again.
