Unknown oil leak (GSR)
Well my car has been leaking oil, but can't see where its coming from only after I move out of the driveway. I know for a fact that its not from up top. Can it be an axle seal? I was wondering what other seals it can be leaking from, so if you have any ideas post them up.
Thanks.
Thanks.
park it and let it sit, let it drip oil.
look under the car as closely as you can to get an idea of where it is coming from.
then safely jack the car up and look around.

Crawl under the car and take a look.
Possible:
Oil pan
drain plug oi pan/transmission
axle seal
shifter seal
or
That 15+ year old Hondabond on the transmission

Its not leaking from the oil pan or drain plug, I'm sure of that. Shifter seal?
if its leaking you will see at least a little wet spot somewhere on the motor. park it in a new clean patch of cement and get it to leak i guess running. dont move it yet!!! and see which side of the motor first and the get a small level and hold it level to see if its coming from front or back of motor.

Like the transmission, the cam seal plug is on the passenger side of the engine.
Use some oil degreaser, start at the passenger end of the valve cover, above and to the side of the exhaust manifold, and clean it and dry it well.
Clean under the cam seal plug with a Q-Tip.
That is where mine was leaking.

i had this too. It was actually the little black box (crankcase ventilation), where the pcv alve goes to. The little O ring was what went bad. Just buy one from the dealer. It costs like 2 dollars.
If its the cam seal, which is behind the vtec solinoid, you can buy a stock one from about any auto parts store or you can upgrade to an aluminum oring style cam seal that works alot better, you can get them on ebay or alot of performance shops keep them in stock, i have one on my car and my gf's car.

You know this thread is pretty old, right?
I had an oil leak from my stock oil cooler between the block and oil filter. A new o-ring fixed that right up. I had all the coolant hoses removed and intake manifold removed from the engine at the time, so it was pretty easy to change.
