Default Light sockets cut out and stolen: problems emerge

I recently had my turn signal and head light sockets cut out, as long as the bulbs taken in a recent theft, along with other random items. (94 civic hatch)

I was able to buy a new set of headlight sockets at pepboys, but was unable to find the sockets for my turn signals. (apparently they no longer carry them?)

I was told i could just make my own socket for the turn signals, so i tried to.

I worked out.... but only for a while. Then I guess I short circuited something!!!

my turn signals in the front AND the back no longer work. The hazard lights are not working either. and on top of this, my speedometer, odometer, and various lights on my dashboard don't work either. (the brake light, trunk open, check engine lights don't work, but the battery light and SRS light work on my dashboard.)

!!! I was wondering if anyone knew how to fix it. I should probably just buy the correct turn signal harness for my car from a stealership, but I want to know how i can fix my short circuit before I do this.

I was thinking that I blew a fuse when trying to make my own socket by letting two ends touch.. Can someone verify if this is correct?

If it is, which fuse would I need to replace? (I can't find out which fuse works for the dashboard/signal lights)

I just bought my civic, and am extremely excited about it.
It has an b18c1 engine in it (BAR'd!!) , and i can't wait to put it on the road!

LONG POST I KNOW sorry. hahaha, heres a summary

I have a 94 civic hatch. Tried to make a socket for my front signal lights. Dashboard odometer/speedometer, and various lights stopped working. As well as my front AND back signal lights not working anymore. Possible short circuit/fuse blown? need help trying to fix.

any help is appreciated!

blown fuse, either underdash or underhood.

harness from junkyard would be a better move. dealerships will hurt you bad for them.

Start by disconnecting your DIY signal light bulb holders.
Go to your local bone yards, [pick and pull] and get the proper bulb sockets, probably find them on other Honda/Acura then just a 94 Civic hatch.

Once you have removed the DIY bulb holders, and made sure leads can't short out, check your fuses, both in the under dash and engine bay fuse boxes.

For the signal light bulb sockets you made yourself, was that for the signal lights in your front bumper or the ones for the front side markers, [signal/park lights]? 94

The signal lights were for the front bumper ones.

I think I probably blew a fuse, but I don't know which one??

any tips on which fuse i should probably be replacing?

thank you for your help! =] this is my first car

I just fixed my hazard lights (took out the fuse for them and put in a spare)
they are working now, thanks guys =]

but now my dashboard gauges still aren't working...
what is the fuse number for the gauges, as i probably need to replace them.
(I'm thinking 15, but I'm not sure)

Sorry, I do not have a fuse location for a 94 Civic, just pull them one by one and test them, if you have a 12V test light, if so just turn on the ign. switch to run and test each fuse, test at both test tips. 94
