buy lowered springs and run on your oem shocks, they will do, then just save for uprated ones and fit thme when the stock ones are done. i got nearly 15k miles from my stock shocks when i fitted my lowered springs on my last car, before the fronts went soft and needed replacing
wow thanks for that info it really helped
because im might get springs that lowers my front by 1.75 and my rear to 1.5 so then my springs on the stock shock would be good for it right?

Usually people do this because they *think* they're saving money. It'll end up costing u more in the end. Do it right the first time.

back in the day people cut their springs cause they had no option for getting a stiffer suspension for racing applications. other kids who saw the cut spring hondas thouht they looked cool, and cut their springs as well, but found that by cutting off enough spring to lower the car to the level they wanted, it took away too much of the spring and the ride became unbearable.
I am of the oppinion that if you are going to lower your car just to have it lower, you may as well cut the springs, that way you will feel exactly how much you are screwing up the semetry of the stock suspension, but hey, to each their own...

don't cut your springs.. your car will be lowered but it will handle like crap and do that double rebound/bounce that my friends and I always laugh at when we see... then the guy in the car gets all pissed off Lolz... if your going to lower your car just do it right the first time and get lowering springs and shocks or a coilover system if you can afford it... lowering springs only cost around $200 or so ...
donno about you guys but I cut my spring. the ride's not bad at all. I cut it cuz I wanted to slam it. I cut about 5in, the ride is fine ppl say it ride's better than lowering springs....
Is it bad for the performance of the springs, to buy springs, fit them on your original shocks and ride with that till you can get the money for upgraded shocks. I bought the springs, but i dont wanna put em on the original shocks in fear that it will soften up the springs with sutch soft shocks.
There is a saying when it comes to building a performance car.
BUILD IT RIGHT OR BUILD IT TWICE. Cutting your springs will have your car bottoming out like crazy. BUILD IT RIGHT OR BUILD IT TWICE.

man, cutting springs is mad ghetto.
to follow what everyone else said...don't do it.
the investment into a set of lowering springs and a good set of shocks is well worth it. even riding on stock shocks is okay for awhile..mine were going strong for 20k+ miles before i switched them out. and even then they didn't go bad yet
