Default alternator problem

you guys this is weird, so my battery light came on so i figured my alternator was bad, i went and checked for voltage on my battery when car was running and it was only at 12V, normally its at 13-14V when my car was running, battery and alternator are both relatively new, so i took it to autozone to test battery and it was good, on alternator test it said low output. so Could my alternator be bad or is it maybe the wiring?

Well if it has low output then more than likely the brushes inside are going bad. Return it to where you got it from if it has a warranty.

Does the battery light come on when you have lights and other accessories on? If so, your alternator is on it's way out as it can't keep up with the voltage being used.
