Hi,

I accidently hit my own gate when I was backing up my Prelude from the garage...and it has some black marks on the bumper and I suspect it is the paint from the gate. My Prelude is in electron blue pearl colour. What is the best way to remove the added black paint? I tried to wax them off but it didn't work...

also try just soap and water first tho. I hit a construction sign and got white paint all over my black front bumper and i just used water and i was able to whipe it off

 

Yeah, try washing first...then I would clay bar. If that doesn't work, then polish or rubbing compound (which you will need to follow up with polish to get out the scratches the compound will leave).

Just keep in mind that you might have taken the paint off the bumper and the black you're seeing could just be the plastic of the bumper.

 

paint thinner will take it right off unless it is the plastic of your bumper. the thinner might dull it out some but just buff or wax it.
