Default 2000 Si Wheel identification

Hi H-T members,

I was wondering how to identify a real Honda Civic 2000 SI Wheel. Is there going to be a Honda marking on the inside of the wheel? Please help before I go out and buy a set.

Thanks

there are no known fakes of si wheels. in fact, if you have seen a few sets of oem honda wheels it should be obvious. following the fad with si wheels i take it?

Yeah, I like the way they look and also I want to replace my 17 inch wheels that I currently have now. Tomorrow I will probably buy the Si Wheels, just wanted to make sure I wasn't getting some cheap replicas.

So, yesterday bought used SI Wheels w/tires, before putting them on it checked and saw that it actual says "Honda" on them. I had 17's on before and they a rough, every bump on the road is felt, but the Si feel some much better and smoother when driven. I wanted to share some before and after pictures of them installed. I probably lower it a bit later on. Let me know what you guy's think.

while i don't mind 17s if they are decent, those you had are uuuugly. the si's fit the car much better and yes more sidewall does tame the ride. not only that but there are a sh it ton of 195 55 15 tires to choose from. only neg on the si wheels is weight. heavy sob's. i had 17s on with 300/250 springs & didn't mind it all too much, when i changed to 500/450 they started getting really annoying which led me to the same place, 15s with 205 50 15s. cheaper tires and more sidewall

Also the 17's are really loud when driving on the freeway.

a lot of this has to do with the tire you choose, however, shorter stiffer sidewalls do seem to transmit some noise and vibration more than the taller sidewalls of a 195 55 or 205 50, still, a good deal of it is in the tire
