Joe (Doespike) let me know the R I most recently restored popped up on an isurance salvage site. Contacted the guy I sold it to and it was indeed stolen - AGAIN.

The guy I sold it to emailed me this morning with the low down:
"yeah she was stolen a couple weeks ago out of my company parking garage. while I was at work. with a tow truck. The security guard even let them in - said they were doing a repo... Never caught the guys, no licence plate on the truck, and they dropped the shell off at the police impound a couple days later. sucks"



I will most likely not be making a 2nd attempt at this one. It has not been auctioned yet if anyone wants it.

 

What a tragedy. Looks to be easily restorable.

 

I remb that car before, btw thiefs dropped it off at the impound? clever fawkers

 

I knew it had been too long since I had seen an "another ITR stolen thread" Such a heart breaker. Hopefully the mother****ers die a thousand deaths!

damn, atleast it looks like an easy rebuild, maybe easier than the 1st from the looks of things.

 

That's just awful!

Plus it messes with the "average" when the same cars start to get stolen over, and over, again ...

You think he'd ask for documentation on that but guess the average person wouldn't think of it like us. The guard obviously saw their faces but I guess that doesn't mean anything anymore.

 

yeah, possibly.. hood and fenders are in better shape.. no idea what the interior or engine bay looks like though..
