***PLEASE HELP NOOB QUESTION. PUTTIN 5 LUG ON EK AND EG QUESTION.*****
HEY WUSSU H-T I HAVE A REAL QUICK QUESTION IM PUTTIN TYPE R SUSPENSION ON MY EG BUBBLE AND MY EK COUPE. I HAVE A SIMPLE QUESTION, WHEN I GET MY COILOVER SET DO I BUY THEM FOR A ITR? EVEN DOE THEY GOING IN A BUBBLE AND EK COUPE? OR DO I BUY EM FOR THE EG BUBBLE AND EK COUPE. SORRY FOR THE NOOB QUESTION. THANKS IN ADVANCE.
IM ASKING WHEN THE 5 LUG CONVERSION IS ON MY EG BUBBLE AND MY EK COUPE. SO I BUY EVERYTHING FOR A ITR OR EVERYTHING FOR THE CAR ITSELF. FOR EXAMPLE WHEN I ORDER MY D2 COILOVERS SHOULD I BUY EM FOR A ITR OR FOR A EG BUBBLE AND WHEN I BUY EM FOR MY EK COUPE SHOULD I BUY EM FOR AN ITR OR FOR A EK COUPE. AND WHEN I BUY MY BRAKE LINES.. DO I BUY EM FOR AN ITR OR DO I BUY EM FOR A EG BUBBLE AND EK COUPE... THATS WHAT I MEAN...
like i said....ur coilovers dont bolt to ur hubs (what ur switching to ITR ****) unless u change control arms, its staying the same correct?
I have a theory that if you turned off your caps lock and wrote your message like someone with half an education you would get more help with your questions. What trailing arm you are using has no impact on what shocks you can run. If you want to use standard **** keep your stock LCA's. If you want to use ITR **** use ITR LCA's. Its pretty easy dood. And what the hell is an EG BUBBLE?
Thanks, was thinking LCA but typed trailing arm.

umm okay what does me writing it caps lock or lower case... have to do with how well educated i am 'dood' maybe i forgot caps lock on, ''dood'' thanks for ur help but keep your smart remarks to urself 'dood'. and second of all im not using the itr shocks n springs i just got the brake n hub setup. And a eg bubble is a eg hatchback, in NYC we call them bubbles cause the way their shaped.
wow your setup is beautiful, i liek how it looks. how much u paid for that sway bar and what brand is it.
in cali we call them eggs lol....the sway bar is custom powder coated...its an asr subframe and sway bar pack i bought....and function 7 coilovers...
long story short dude, ur stock stuff will work unless u switch the mounting points where the coilover bolts to over to itr stuff

All you need for the 5-lug conversion is the rear trailing arm and not the lower control arms. You do not need to get "ITR" coilovers, especially so on the EK since the ITR shocks don't fit an EK without custom arms.
BTW, here's a sneak peek for those with EG/DC's out there:

...they will be available very soon!

After reading this entire thread I guess I have a few questions.
1. Unless I'm missing something, why cant I just remove my old trailing arm and bolt up a complete ITR trailing arm.
2. With DA knuckles I need ITR hubs and what wheel bearing?

2. With da front knuckles the usdm itr or jdm ctr hub which is 32mm needs to be machined for da bearings.

Thanks, thats the route that im going. You guys that are holding your hubs on with half engaged mazda nuts with eliminated washers are freaking CRAZY! It scares the **** out of me that there are cars on the road with stupid **** like this done to them.
I wouldnt be so quick to judge. Noone has reported any problems "yet".
