Default b16 balance shaft, aluminum crank pulley

ive read that people remove the balance shaft on there h22's to free up rotational mass, can this be done to a b16? and im running a aluminum crank pulley and ive read mixed reviews about it hurting the oil pump, any truth in this?

A: like posted above, B series motors do not have balance shafts

B: yes running a non dampening pulley is bad for the motor. I personally shattered a pump from a CTR pulley(in 5 passes). Put an ATI on it, that motor is still together in another street car(after I put 25+ passes and he's made 50+)
