d15 dizzy on a d16a6?
i bought a 91 ef hatch a few weeks ago for real cheap the car was originally wiried for a b16 and someone swapped a d16a6 in it n sold the car it barely ran so i got the interior and exterior harness that match the d16a6. well the dizzy that was on the motor is for a d15 which is only a 2 sensor obd o dizzy i didnt know if there was a way to wire this so it would work. i also have a good obdo dizzy for an ls and a obd 1 b seriers dizzy that has the same exact amount of wires n 2 of the mounting holes match i know one of the wheels r different. if i cant use the d15 would i b able to swap the wheel from the ls dizzy to the bseries and make it work thanks trying to ge the car running tonight. thanks for the help
Ok then can i use the obd 1 bseries that i have or can i use the obd 0 ls dizzy eventhough only the top bolt lines up im just trying to get the car running so i can drive it n save money to swap it
You can not mix OBDs between dizzy and ECU.
If you have an OBD0 ECU then you need an OBD0 dizzy.
OBD1 ECU needs OBD1 dizzy.
WHY: The reluctor wheel inside the dizzy has a different tooth count between the OBDs so it will send the wrong number of pulses to the ECU.
