what head bolts do i use to put my b16 head on my ls block and does any one have vtec wiring diagram

i know ur not supose to use the old head bolts but what if the where just a few months old thats all they was used for

 

I wouldnt re-use them.. Get b16 arp's theyre like 80-90 shipped

 

You're not supposed to reuse factory style head bolts even if they are 1 day old. They stretch when you torque them, so when you try to use them again the torque and strength properties aren't the same. Head studs, like ARPs, are reusable.

 

ok so do i get b18 or b16 head bolts

 

For an LS-VTEC you use B18C ARP/AEBS/Golden Eagle head studs.

 

If you get arp's all bseries are the same. but if you use stock honda ones use the b16 head bolts.

 

ok a buddy of mine just told me he has some head bolts and he dont know what they go to they r new and they have 3 that r 6 1/2 and 7 that r 6 1/8

 

dude, you can't use b16 head bolts cuz they're shorter

b18a/b, b18c1, b16b and b18c5 decks are a bit longer so they require longer head bolts

 

with all the research that i have done i have not seen any head bolts that have any longer ones in it... an my block is a 96 ls with a built bottom end to handle higher rpm and my b16 head is off a 00 civic si just for some helpful info.... so what im gettingfrom anwsers is i need b18 head bolts or arp studs

yes, b18 vtec head bolts is what you need

Make sure you also use a GSR/ITR 22-tooth water pump and a GSR/ITR timing belt.
