i thought this exhaust had a deeper sound.. when i DONT push it it sounds ok.. but when im pushing at redline.. it sounds liek really raspy... is ther e a way to fix this?

A friend of mine has a Greddy EVO Exhaust just like you and it rattles/rasps/creaks like hell right before he lets off the clutch and gasses it. It's weird...

Mine sounds great as well.. nice deep tone when driving normal and on the gas WOT at 8k, it just completely wails... it sounds so bad ***...

i have not heard any raspy notes.. or sounds..

 

i just got rid of mine. it was almost as loud as my dunk before it i now have a dc and loving it, quit and deep all the way up the rev band. it sounds great.

mines deep and low .. but insanely loud when im on it .... str8 pipe in place of cat ....

do you have a hiflow cat or str8 pipe ? that will definately effect the evo sound

 

i like how mine sounds.. its deep and low....but kind of loud sometimes.. it sounds good to me though.. and I usually have my stereo on so its no biggie..

what woudl be the differnce... i have the hi flow cat... hmmm you think i should get straght pipe instead?!

 

well .. i had a high flow and a str8 pipe... the str8 pipe will make the note a little more loud .... i have a heavily modded b18b and it still sounds a little raspy at certain RPMz ... im gonna do some fuel tuning this weekend and see if that helps smooth it out some more ...

to be honest .. i dont think your gonna get rid of the sound unless you really start making some more power ... or put the standard cat back in ... there might be a way to rid the sound with installing some glass packs ... but im not totally sure .. it was just a recommendation to me .. might want to check to also make sure you got the exhaust nice and tight with no leaks
