Where to find replacement engine
I need a replacment engine for a family members 2001 civic i looked on hmotors but they dont have any d17's. thats the engine it has right? anyways where can i find one?

Is it a D17A1 (dx/lx non-vtec) or the D17A2 (ex vtec) ?
Anyhow... You could always try Craigslist .. Car-Part.com .. Google .. maybe even create a WTB post in the For Sale / Want to Buy thread, and create a link to it in your signature. The usual stuff.

Do you need the whole engine or what? What went wrong exactly? I've got a spare bottom end.. but shipping would be insane to cal. I found mine on craigslist. It shouldn't be too tough to find one.
