89 EF Hatch Project
I recently picked up a 89 dx hatch for $300.. it had a blown head gasket and huge hole blown in the side of the radiator.
Not knowing what else was wrong with it i fixed the head and began to make it a si clone.. I am new to honda tech and only know my sohc stuff.
The Car started real nice Right when it was put together..
But I had to drive it from oregon to northern washington..
2days after it getting it up here it wouldent start like it was not getting fuel or spark.. Its has Dualpoint which i think is the problem and would like to change it..
the check engine light came on and i ran the codes it was 6 the tempreture system and 16 fuel injection..
I have recently changed the tempreture sensor in the head and the spark plugs plus pulled all the connectors off the intake manifold and re connected them.
it seems to have worked and after resetting the ecu it hasnt thrown anymore codes.. but still is hessitent to start and almost dies when in reverse...
the car has 150k miles and pretty straight besides the front ds fender and door..
Im Kinda in the middle of what to do?
either find a lx or si wiring harness and convert to multipoint or do a dohc zc swap from the same year!!!
