OBD2 car to OBD1 engine..help
ok got a question for you. Got a OBD 2 car, and OBD 1 engine, is there anyway to make this work? The company the kid ordered the motor from will take it back but they want him to pay shipping for their screw up.

in short, yes. but you will have to get a OBD2 ECU and all the appropriate sensors. now wether or not it makes financial sense to do that Vs. the cost of shipping the motor back and waiting for a new one, well I won't even guess.
You could convert the car to OBD1, while not legal wink,wink it does have some benifits. I see you're in MD. if you tune it to pass smog, it will go through though. they never lift the hood or anything, just run it on the "treadmill". hell depending on where the car is registered, you may not even have to get it tested.

awsome...thanks for the reply man. i will forward this info over to him. I think he is just going to end up eating the cost for shipping or he said some girl was looking at it for her 4th gen accord. so who knows. thanks

i have a obd2 car.
my motor is obd1.
i am converting the car to obd1. simply by buying a conversion harness.
easiest way. IMO.

yeah i can get you the harness. I have new source and they customize and test every harness before shipping. email me

I was just talking to jay about his car said he has paid some rediculus amount for a car that doesn't even run anymore. It sucks a fat one he told me he isn't even going to school this semester just so he can pay for it all.

yea man i feel bad for him also. but he should have double checked everything before they shipped it out. I was going to buy it but same problem for my car. I was talking to paul(TnS) and he said some chick from rockville is looking at it. but im not sure whats going to happenen. I will pass the info about the harness though on to him and paul. he wanst 185 for the harness and that is a hell of alot better then like 800 for shipping. but how you been ryan? havent seen u in awhile. hit me up on IM or PM me. later
