if this just for daily driving you only need regular Autozone rotors and reg pads.
Then look to getting better tires if you want to stop faster.

Please use search feature, the topic of "which is better : cross drilled, slotted, blanks has been discussed many times.

the general rule of braking is to spend the money on the pad. buy the cheapest rotor within reason and get the most pad you can afford. personally i would at least use some type of ceramic pad. the hawk ceramic or hps are two great DD choices. a set of hps and cheap blank rotors should run around $100

ive heard drilled rotors tend to crack over time/wear, slotted is good for head dissipation but it eats your pads, so i'd just get regular blanks like stated above with really good pads.

what about some EBC dimpled and slotted zinc coated rotors($145) and EBC ceramic pads($75)? its a little more than i wanted to spend but with the way people drive around here, i need the best set-up i could possibly get

but does anyone know anything about that combination

For daily driving that set up will be fine, but not necessary. Like the others have said, basic rotors will be more than enough. You don't need any heat dissipation assistance on the street. As for pads the HPS will work great but its sounds like you've got a soft spot for EBC so I would used the pads you mentioned with a basic rotor. The dimples and slots are not necessary, the zinc coating will help them from rusting so that might be an option.

yea i understand the dimples and and slots arent necessary for street driving. i personally like the looks of them though over a standard rotor. im not all for EBC pads really, i just had a friend that had an EBC pad/dimpled and slotted rotor and he liked his setup. i just wanted some more opinions though..

so lets just say im definately going to go with dimpled and slotted rotors

what would be the best option

Option 1. EBC dimpled and slotted rotors with EBC ceramic brake pads

Option 2. EBC dimpled and slotted rotors with Hawk ceramic brake pads

For the street you should be fine with either. I'm sure you'll be able to find people that have had success with both types of pad. Also keep in mind that you're using these on the street where you will most likely not notice a difference. I personally have never used the Hawk HPS pads but I've used their HP+ and their DTC30 compounds which both worked well and which will be more aggressive than you'll need, but Im sure the HPS pad would work just fine. I don't have any experience with EBC so I can't say either way. I think you're really over thinking this though. I'd go with which ever one is cheaper.
