2000 Odyssey cabin lights blinking help!!
Hey all, I have a 2000 Odyssey Ex with about 215k miles on it. This car has been a trip let me tell you..tranny problems, brake problems, emission problems, you name it! Nothing has ever been wrong electrically though, but as i was driving home from work tonight, the cabin lights blinked twice randomly. Also, the open door indicator was malfunctioning. It said the passenger side door was open, then went off. It then indicated the back door latch was open. Could this be a faulty sensor somewhere? Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks
there are a few things you can check. First, make sure both rear slide doors are fully closed, sometimes the closer motor will not fully close them but they will appear closed at a glance. Second, make sure your rear hatch is fully closed and check the switch to make sure it is making full contact with the door striker to turn off the lights.
If its the slide doors staying open, you will likely need one or both closer motors, which can be a little expensive. If its the rear hatch, then just adjust the striker so that it fully contacts to switch in the latch assembly in the hatch.
hope this helps...
