Painting engine bay. ?
Wires tucked and all so I am wondering what is the best product to use to paint my engine bay. The car is black so is the engine bay, it is scratched up and dull. It's not worth taking anywhere to get it painted because I am not removing my brakelines. What kind/brand of spray paint should I use? How much would a body shop charge to spray it if I were to do all the taping? Thanks!
The shop would charge a bit pricey depend on what shop it's and paint. You can DIY. Just check the sticky thread on this paint department. I don't know what paint's good but i think you pay something good it might come out well. YOu can get those paint tape at wal-mart. That seem to be good enough because i use it and no problem with it.

engine bays are no different... you clean/degrease...scuff/sand them primer/base them just like the rest of your car.. no magical special paint is needed... just regular automotive paint.... the reason why shops charge a lot is because its not a flat surface... so they gota sand/prep more meticulously...and usually because the engine is still there LOL
