i have a jdm b18c, i know everything is supposed to be p72, but i was looking at my cam gears and noticed they are PR3 (b16) so i presume the cams are PR3 as well, is this a more aggressive cam some prior owner swapped in or about the same? if so, cause it wouldn't make any sense for someone to just put diff factory gears in the same size.

Could be b-16 but some type r heads are PR3. Since you say u have a b18c Im thinkin its a type r head.

Even though it says PR3 on the cam gear and your head is a GSR head its still a GSR. Not sure but I think all cam gears say PR3. My Integra that was an Ls had cam gears that say PR3 also. My cousin's GSR civic also has Cam gears that say PR3 also but he's got a B17 head though.

My USDM GSR's stock cam gears are also stamped PR3. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

relief, thanks guys, i was wondering, kinda worried the previous owner swapped them before the sale a few years back! my head is gsr for sure cause it had a gsr manifold and has p72-2 stamped on front of head, just the cam gears threw me off
