so the civic keeps popping the 7.5 amp fuse #15. I read the service bulletin about the fix. i pulled the wiring harness all apart and the wires look fine. alternator wire looks fine. no breaks or cracks in any of the wires.

Took out alternator and battery to get tested they both tested out just fine.

So i retaped everything back up popped in a new fuse and still pops

Any other ideas?

 

Along with fuse 15 popping, are you also getting any of the accompanying CEL codes (VSS, O2 sensor, or ELD) mentioned in the TSB?

 

Nope Not a single CEL

 

Is turning the key to ON(II) sufficient to blow fuse 15? Or do you have to start the engine and drive the car? Does it blow quickly or does it take some time?

 

just turn the key on and the fuse blows

 

Unplug the connectors for the alternator, VSS, and both O2 sensors (see below). Does this prevent fuse 15 from blowing?

 

i will have to check that one out. i did not try that. so i will try that and report back.

 

the wire rubs on the top of the bracket from intake to the block. should be right at the connector

 

which wire are you referring to that rubs? cause i didnt see any rubbing on the wires.

I am also having the same fuse 15 problem, I also took a look at all my wires, look good. Good battery and alternator. But I am getting an O2 sensor cel. I must drive the car to blow the fuse and it usually blows within a quarter mile. Any ideas?

it takes a while to blow .... my computer is chipped and tune so i dont got the o2 sensor deleted

 

Mine is doing the same thing it takes a couple mins to blow I stepped up to a 15 amp it blew that too any ideas ?

Oh ok the link wouldn't work the first time for me it did then . So this is a common thing huh ? Is there any particular spot where it rubs ?

 

Read the TSB and then go from there.
