Default b17 with wavy torque plot

Torque and corresponding air fuel for runs 1 and 2

horsepower and torque for run 3

B17, 200k miles, bolt ons. Lots of people were asking about the wavy low end torque and the spike at 4700rpm. VTEC crosses at 5700rpm.

Nothing wrong with your torque graph, other than the numbers are a bit low. Look at the resolution-your torque curve is pretty flat-between 80-95 ft-lbs. The spike at ~4,500 looks like the typical AEM CAI intake resonance hump, nothing to be concerned about. Your A/F looks like the map from a stock ECU-not a custom tuned map.

i've noticed that dynamometers produce wavy torque graphs like that. I have been going to shawn at church automotive testing for years now and have had around 5 engines dynoed there. all of my torque graphs look wavy like that. i'm not sure why, but i'm assuming that it might have something to do with the chassis dyno.

by comparison, after i had a few of my motors dynoed at church, i would go to a roller dyno just to see the difference in numbers. the torque graphs looked much more smooth and flat, like we are all so used to seeing.
