Default transmission kicking out of reverse

i have a 99 honda accord with an automatic transmission, if you leave the transmission in reverse for a about 3 or 4 seconds it bogs down and kicks into neutral. or if you just sit still as soon as you try to back up it kicks into neutral..... is this a major problem or an easy fix?
