Default takin a leap...into k24 world

just lookin into getting my integra from boosted mode to all motor mode. im thinking of going with the k24 block with the k20 head. (no new **** here) the thing is i was looking at pistons and the compression is something im not very sure of. i figure something 12:1 will be fine for everyday use. but i want to know the limit especially when it comes to everyday driving. the same manufacturer is selling some pistons with 13.7:1 compression and i heard these are alright also when it comes to a DD vehicle. is this true? if it is i want to purchase these bitches and throw them into a k24 block. give me some advice please.

Isn't it possible to make similar power with other, cheaper motors?

I am no K-series guru, but I am pretty sure the TSX K24 is the only K24 head that has variable valve timing on both intake and exhaust camshafts.

With the ability to tune cam timing on the intake cam, you can control your dynamic compression in over the RPM range. You can tune a 13.7:1 K-series motor on 92 or 93 octane and it will make good power, and you will not be sacraficing too much ignition advance. If you are never going to run race gas and have a separate tune ready, I would think sticking somewhere in the 12.5:1 - 13:1 CR is perfect for a K-series pumpgas motor.

You are correct ^^

... this will be better if in the K-Motor forum, you will get a lot of info there. PM a mod to get it moved...
