89 crx Si brakes on 88 dx crx

Default 89 crx Si brakes on 88 dx crx

say i have come across some nice cross-drilled / slotted roters (front) for the 89 Si. my stock roters are shot......is it a bolt up as if normal maintanence deal? or id there some creativity needed. thanks..

ok, well i guess nobody knows.... umm can you tell me this...

would i be better off leaving stock brakes, but getting drilled/ slotted rotors, and some good pads, or spends way more for an all wheel disk?

if i were you, id buy plain rotors with some nice pads like ebc green. then try upgrading your master and booster to an integra's to help with braking. sense you have a 88 dx, why dont you find an si and take the rear brakes on those and put it on your car, it be a nice little set up.

the rear Si disk brakes you mean, from a 90 or 91? very hard to find around here, and are my dx rotors the same size as the Si? just curious...thank you

front dx and si rotors are the same size 9.5"


if you want an OEM brake upgrade get 91 4 door Civic EX rotors 10.2"

in addition to the rotors you will need calipers and knuckles


I work at Advance Auto Parts and you can get brand new EX rotors for 19.99 each
and reman calipers for 26.99each

so if you find some knuckles youll be set

note -+14" rims required
