Default Piston to valve clearance questions.

Headwork

-Stock Gsr head
-Rocketmotorsports valvetrain
-RocketMotorsports Ef-1 m24's
-Stock valves

Block

-B16a
-b16a connecting rods
-B16b PCT pistons
-Oem bearings
-oem b16a crank

Do i have to worry about any P2V issues?
http://www.zealautowerks.com/bseries.html

GSR head & b16 block with pct pistons i'm close to 12 4 compression, b16 head im close to 11 9.

The car will see e85 or 93 octane depending on what my tuner suggests.

Now i have not picked up the camshafts or head yet. I want to know if ill be having any issues with clearances before i even spend money.

Thank You

maybe contact rocket and see if he knows on that particular combo.
otherwise clay it or use test springs and indicators and measure it when you put it together. if its too tight you'll have to flycut the pistons

as long as you have .040 minimum you will be fine. for closer specs on how close they can be contact your rod manufacture and they can tell you how much strech their will be.

Its gonna be really close...close enough that its def worth claying your engine.

Clay your engine.
I dunno why you used ctr pistons.. there's been multiple post on why these pistons are not good at all..
Not to mention the dome is going to cause you major problems in the end if you dont clay your motor.

The P30 piston is a much better piston, its flatter and lighter, and the shape allows for more piston to valve clearence and less turbulence due to irregular shape. If you want insane Compression go with aftermarker pistons.

Those are awfully big cams for a 1.6. You very well may have p-v issues so a thorough check is a must.

PCT pistons are horrible in 1.8 setups. PCT in a b16 is just like having a b16b... I bought the motor like this, I will clay it and go from there.

Maybe to avoid all this i can just go with a less aggressive cam, like the Skunk2 pro 1's? Or Civic Type R cams?

Thanks for all the helpsssss.
