Default JDM B20B block question

Im in the process of finishing my B20/Vtec. I realized that the JDM B20 does not have the black "breather" box in the back with the PCV valve. What should I do? Just forget it? Get an oil catch can?

The PCV valve is located in the valve cover on OBDII LS and B20 motors so if the vtec valve cover doesnt have an allocation for a pcv valve then yes a catch can setup will be neccesary.

What kind of catch can should I get? Typical 2 hose setup to the valve cover?

Should I run an "open" catch can or a circulated one?

Thats up to you. If you have it dumping into the container then your going to have to keep an eye on it and empty it as needed. However I've heard that recircluted setups cause contaminates to enter the oil like all those blowby gasses and stuff that would normally go into the intake and get disposed of in the combustion chamber(in a stock setup) now gets emptied into the oil and causes the oil to get dirtier quicker.

Open it is..

Another question: Should I get a catch can with 4 tubes? 2 from the block and 2 from the valve cover?

Eh if your going all motor then just a simple setup will suffice. But if you must you can just run two larger lines from the valve cover and they will flow just like the four(I forgot what size though but you can search and come up with it) also put the lines in the front of the cover because I believe if you put them in the back you'll just empty oil.

Dude yeah you can do 4 fitting but i'm just running the 2 1/2in fittings from the rear of the block onto my custom catch can and in the last 1500miles i've driven my motor i collected like 2fl oz of blowby not bad and we ran the crap out of my motor when we were dyno tuning and street tuning it...and my setup is venting out to the atmosphere the one from the valve cover i just run it stock we checked how much blowby we get from the valve cover and it was minimal to none so i'm not worried about my throttle body or intake manifold gunking up!

It's not likely it will gunk it up either, the main concern about that guy is that the oil vapors and blow-by gasses can cause detonation when introduced into the intake. It's actually supposed to be a fresh air INLET INTO the valvecover and the rest of the engine to help the PCV work properly.
The EnDyn kit is my favourite bolt-on kit, as when installed properly it drains the oil back into the engine where it belongs. Not into a tank that hordes the oil.

In the pic of the endyne catch can.. There is a PCV valve.. Is that used at all? Or my setup would not have a PCV valve at all? Just the catch can?

Sorry for all the questions. Just want to make sure I do this once, and the correct way

It's optional. There's a bung you put into the top of the can and then insert check valve into to run it as stock. Or, use the supplied filter to run it open air.
