let me start for the beginning i have a 98 honda civic. My car over heated due to blown raditor which in return blew my head. So I did a head swap to a z6. Once it was put all together there was a little ticking noise guy tried to adjust value but messed them all up and had me drive on it. To day I had the valves redone and there right one problem my car is now smoking and hot . Is this normal for head Im guessing not????? What could cause this. Let me add white smoke is coming out yet I replace head gasket???? Could this be due to head not being torqued right????

 

could still have coolant in the cylinders. If the head was torqued out of wack, then yes the headgasket could be blown again. check the simple stuff first (like fans coming on, therostat opening, water flowing, or air in system). The white smoke is from coolant being burnt.
